I had the privilege of working on the following projects with Sohan Ariel Hayes, animated in his studio in North Perth.

 

Dandjoo Darbalung at Crown Resorts

I worked on this project with Sohan Ariel Hayes studio for an art exhibition and immersive light installation that was projected at the Crown Resorts Foundation. The visuals are based on an artwork ‘Follow the Dream’ created by Western Australian school children, as part of the Dandjoo Darbalung Arts Education project at St Catherine’s College. We modeled and animated the elements in 3D in Maya, and composited in After Effects.

The Dandjoo Darbalung project focuses on promoting cultural awareness and teaching young people about the beauty and relevance of Aboriginal culture. The art is structured around the six Noongar seasons of WA.

WA Opera in the Park

I was commissioned to create animated elements and sequences for the City of Perth Opera in the Park 2020 (Hansel & Gretel), animated with acclaimed artist Sohan Ariel-Hayes.
